In a time when 6 of the 12 gods have died, Arvel Est Bookkeeper lives his life happily. The war of fifteen years past is well over and a peace has settled across the world again. With the final book read, Arvel has succeeded in completing the Great Library and aims to become the youngest Elder of his people. On a day that should be celebrated, the very god that his people once prayed to arrives. The God of Knowledge, seeking to own all knowledge tears Arvel's life apart and lives him the lone survivor. Now thrust into the world with the goal of vengeance, Arvel begins his journey to kill a god. The world was ruled by 12 gods and history was written in their image. Time however changes all things, man or god. One fell to madness, one to sacrifice, one to justice, one to betrayal and two to temptation. Now only 6 of the 12 gods remain and the Human Alliance has grown to fill the gaps. Though fifteen years has passed since the last gods were slain and peace has returned, time continues to tick by and the hidden desires of gods and man surface again. Arvel, a young man whose people was massacred, now finds himself at the forefront. The age of the 12 gods is near over and what will replace it sits on his shoulders.
