In the village of Blackthorn Hollow, the sea provides and the forest watches.

For generations, the people have lived between crashing waves and ancient pines, sharing stories of monsters that lurk beyond the tree line. Most dismiss such tales as superstition, but old fears have a way of surviving.

Sister Caitlyn has spent her entire life in Blackthorn Hollow. Raised among fishermen, bakers, and storytellers, she choose a life of faith within the walls of Saint Brigid's Abbey. Kind-hearted, curious, and practical, she believes there is always a reasonable explanation for the things that frighten people.

But when strange events begin to plague the village and dangerous secrets are brought to light, sister Caitlyn will find herself questioning everything she thought she knew about monsters, mercy, and the darkness hidden within the woods.
