We thought we were unbreakable. Turns out, we just hadn't found the right hammer.

Eight years of marriage. High school sweethearts. First loves, first touches, and the only people we had ever known. But eight years breeds routine, and routine breeds a dull, suffocating silence.

So, we made a deal. One night. Other people. No emotions, no callbacks, and absolutely no second meets.

The rules were supposed to save our dying marriage. Instead, the jealousy sparked an addictive, volatile fire that brought us back to life. For a moment, the high was intoxicating.

But when you play with fire, someone always gets burned.

When the smoke finally cleared, I realized he hadn't just bent our sacred rules-he had completely shattered them. Now, with the sound of breaking glass still echoing in my ears and divorce papers resting on the counter, I'm forced to face the ultimate question:

Can you ever really rebuild an empire once you've burned it to the ground?
