Still you

I noticed him before I knew what love was.

Back in fourth grade, he was just a boy with kind eyes and a quiet smile. Before crushes, before confessions, before I even understood the meaning of love, there was him.

Years passed. We grew up. Classrooms changed, friendships changed, and so did we. But somehow, through every summer, every goodbye, every attempt to move on, he remained the one person my heart kept returning to.

This isn't a story about a perfect romance.

It's a story about growing up with a feeling you never learned how to let go of, about missed chances, unspoken words, and a boy who became part of my life without ever really being in it.

And after all these years, somehow, it's still you.
