The Asset is not a person. That had been drilled into it for longer than any of the training had. It was not a person, it did not have a name, it did not have a life. It did not have a mind beyond the programming. So why was the enemy treating it like it was? Why was it given a name, descriptions more than it and the Asset? It is not a person. It was.. It is an Asset. But it couldn't help the warmth bloom in it's chest. Deep down, under all the conditioning, it was waiting to be set free. They wanted to fly like a bird. Like a Finch.
