Where Beauty Remains

A beautiful life? To me, it was nothing more than a distant dream-something I could never truly hold in my hands.

Amid a war that never seemed to end, the androids continued to take away everything precious to me-everything I once believed was beautiful. Consumed by the heat of bullets and endless explosions, swallowed by clouds of gunpowder and drifting dust, until nothing remained but shapeless black ashes.

There was a time when I believed this world no longer held anything worth protecting.

But beneath a sakura tree on a cold night, I met him.

That single encounter rekindled the fading light within me. He appeared like an umbrella shielding me from the rain of bullets, teaching me that beauty is not always born from peace, but from the presence of someone who makes you want to keep living even as the world falls apart around you.

And if the day comes when I can no longer witness that beauty with my own eyes, then I hope that he-the person most precious to me-will be able to see it in my place.
