The New Era is everything Lord Liu Kang hoped it would be: peaceful, balanced, and free from the mistakes of the previous timeline.

At least, it was.

When a woman named Sammy suddenly appears, Liu Kang immediately knows something is wrong. Long ago, at the dawn of creation, he made certain she would never be born in this timeline unless tragedy was destined to strike.

And yet, here she is.

Thrown into a world she doesn't understand, Sammy finds herself haunted by vivid dreams of lives she never lived and people she has never met. Fragments of another existence begin to surface, bringing with them memories of war, loss, and a past that should have been erased forever.

But with old enemies stirring, forgotten memories resurfacing, and two men taking a suspicious interest in her arrival, she may discover that some destinies cannot be rewritten-even by the Keeper of Time himself.
