Sixteen captives. No exits. One rule: fear makes everything worse.
Lina wakes in a cold metallic room among strangers, trapped inside a place that studies every reaction, every mistake, every moment of panic. The challenges seem simple at first - patterns, sequences, silence, obedience - but the facility is not testing intelligence. It is testing control.
And Lina has spent her whole life pretending she has more of it than she does.
Sensitive, insecure, and terrified of becoming a burden, she hides her panic behind organisation. She counts survivors. Gives instructions. Solves what she can. But Ronan sees the truth beneath her calm. Towering, watchful, and impossibly steady, he becomes the shield she never asked for and the one presence her nervous system begins to trust.
As the captives are pushed deeper into the unknown, Lina and Ronan must uncover what the facility wants before fear breaks them all. But the most dangerous thing Lina discovers may not be the people who took her.
It may be how desperately she wants to let Ronan protect her.

Author's Note
This story began with a dream I could not forget: a girl who had survived something terrifying, unable to rest, and a protective man quietly shielding her until she finally felt safe enough to sleep.
I have never considered myself a strong writer, but I wanted to give this idea a chance. The emotions, characters, and direction come from me, while AI helped me shape the writing, structure the chapters, and put the scenes into words. This is a personal, AI-assisted story created from a dream I did not want to lose.
I've had these panic attacks where I don't say a word, and they're just as bad. In a lot of stories, the panic attacks are shown to be obvious and loud. I never really felt heard. So, this is my chance to show another side to them, and how people can experience them differently.
While writting the story tags will be added. I'm not sure if there will be smut.
