Strings of Defiance [ ACHILLEA Book 1 ]

Almost half of the 300-year quarantine sentence has passed since the catastrophic war that isolated the continent, silencing the land and stripping it of its life-and its music. To force the recovery of this resource-starved world, the ruthless Regime enforces absolute control over its population. But deep within the fractured lower Orders, the hum of revolution is beginning to rise.
Twenty-one-year-old Artisan-order citizen Artemis Singh spends her days surviving under harsh rationing, using her violin to support her family while dreaming of escaping the continent forever with Shane, the boy she loves.
But when civil unrest threatens the regime, they deploy a glittering distraction for the masses: The DRPHT.
This decreed genetic harvest-disguised as a royal courtship for the Sovereign Heir-violently tears Artemis away from her home and into the clinical, suffocating walls of the Arx. Thrust into a lethal proxy war disguised as a romance, Artemis must learn to play her strings with a fiery passion that could set the entire continent ablaze.
