In book four of the Gifted and Talented series, Ray helps to take care of George's five-year-old niece Jenny, who is neglected by her parents. After Ray and Gwen solve another mystery from their families' pasts, they find a mysterious standing stone in a hidden section of a public park. It turns out to have magical properties: touch it and you get to experience a world in which your deepest wish is fulfilled, and anyone who touches you at the same time joins you in this fantasy world. But what happens if they, Jenny, and all of their friends go into a fantasy world so complete, so profound, that it looks like they may be stuck there with no way out? They have to solve the mystery of how to escape a complicated wish-fulfillment dream-world made out of the disparate elements of a fragmented subconscious. All of our friends have separate chapters in which they investigate different parts of the mystery; and they have to put them all together to finally find their way home - through the dread horror-realm of Carcosa. Even when the mystery is solved, another problem still remains; how can they save a little girl from a terrible fate?

He was a Legend. Now, he doesn't even know his name. Somewhere between the past and the present, something was taken from him-his memories, his identity, and something far older buried deep in his blood. Whispers speak of an ancient order watching from the shadows. Of a code that was never meant to be unlocked. Of a war that never ended. Ben Ripley was never supposed to be part of it. But the past remembers him. And it's calling him back. This is a sequel to Spy School and The Blue Rose, which itself is a sequel to my first story, Spy School and the dead agent.
