Cecelia has spent most of her life hiding in the shadows of her better known counterparts.

From a tragic childhood turned retribution story of her coming of age, she has spent every moment of her life blending into the background. Her friends call her naive, and her therapist says she needs to confront the past, but Cecilia is content. She won't let her history define her.

As Cecilia's band is thrown into a whirlwind scandal involving 5 Seconds of Summer, she finds herself in close quarters with the one man capable of threatening every protective wall she's built up over the years. Worse yet, she finds herself falling victim to his unconventional charms.

But weird things keep happening to Cecilia. First, it's an unmarked package sent to her doorstep ominously threatening her career. Then, a sequence of events leaves her feeling unsafe in her own home. Luckily, Calum Hood seems to know the trick to making her feel at ease again.

Can Cecilia learn to balance her trauma with her growing affections for her new favorite bassist? Or will these strange happenings prevent her from feeling truly comfortable experiencing a love like the songs she sings?
