At U.A. High School, the Senior Hero Practical Program has a notorious final-year module: "Hero Pairing Simulation."
To prepare for real-world pro hero teamwork (and the brutal realities of underground hero work), students are randomly paired into "married" units. They must share a dorm suite, complete joint missions, maintain a public "couple" image for media and school events, and rack up Partnership Points. The top-scoring pairs get priority internships, recommendation letters from pros, and a massive boost to their hero license exam scores. Bottom scorers risk repeating the year or getting sidelined.
Juniper Watanabe transferred in late after a flashy takedown of a villain ring in her old district. Her flashy, sound-and-electricity-manipulating quirk Sparxs and massive indigo-violet scythe Reaper made her an instant rival for the top spot-especially to the explosive blond who hates sharing glory.
