In the distant future, similar to ours but yet so different. There are only two types of blood you can be born into that define the rest of your life forever. You can either be born with Pure-blood that is the most natural type you can have, and get to live your life as you please, or have the opposite, black blood. Your life is already over from the moment you're born. Two options are granted after a baby with black blood is born. Either be killed the next second, or be sent to a factory where you work for the government that harms you every second, and even with that, you're tortured relentlessly for doing work no one wants to do. Your life is over.

Only a few black bloods escaped this life of torture, though, one being a woman named Lacy. Her name was given to her by her best friend, whom she wanted to marry one day, but she was ultimately forbidden to. The death of her best friend was what sent her back on the constant run from her past. And this is where this story starts, the journey of avenging her late lover, and giving it meaning to people who say otherwise.
