Featherkit groaned and whimpered as she dragged the mouse bile from the elders den. "I can't wait until I'm an apprentice!" She thought, as she slapped a forced smile on her face. This was her punishment for waking her mother, Acornflight, up. She thought it was cruel, especially when her brother Hawkkit, had been sound asleep when it happened, but he still had to help anyway. "Yep," she thought, "This is my life. Live 6 endless moons in the nursery until you become a apprentice. (Which by the way she is 3 moons now) Then, you become an apprentice for another 6 moons which are completely wasted, and then you become a warrior until you become the deputy or leader, or you just become old, cranky and sick and then retire." She wasn't looking forward to becoming a warrior at all. She often felt isolated because she was the only kit, that didn't want to be a apprentice or warrior. Jaggedwave's kits were bouncing off the walls because of the wait,and Featherkit would enjoy the empty nursery.All Rights Reserved
