Rose Red

The bell rang out brightly, announcing a new customer.

The scent of all manner of flowers, plants and earth filled his nostrils.
It had been a long time since the man had smelled such a wonderful scent.

He strolled through the full flower beds and shelves, right towards the cash desk.

But soon he froze.
The cashier slowly lifted his head.
The silver hair stood out of all the more natural colours, his black eyes reflecting the sunshine. A white mask covered his lower face, matching his clothes.

Those eyes were familiar to the officer.

Dark and smart.

Or this was what they once were.

Now, all they held, was emptiness and exhaustion.

"Do you need anything, sir?"

"Yes, Kakashi. I need answers."
