The great fire, it cost Erik everything he ever knew. His house, his only love... everything. He roamed the streets for almost four years, staying hidden in the shadows he made himself familiar with only to find his way back to the abandon and burnt opera house. He stayed there and the first few months were nothing but peace, silence and his inner demons ripping him apart. He had no power for life anymore, no muse to write songs and compose miracles. He simply spent his days looking at the cave walls, not able to think, to see, to feel. All that changed when his ear perked the sound of a child's laughter, informing him of people entering his house but he had no power to kick them out. He saw no reason too. The Phantom was dead after all. He assumed they were the new owners, a word he heard a few times during the past 2 weeks. He mentally scoffed, wondering what they would do with the destroyed opera. So they go for a hunt, each with their own motives. It turns out differently as each of them expected. This story begins at the end, kinda. ------------------ This is an older story of mine I overhauled and therefore already finished! Rating: NC-17 hetero Genre: Romance Pairing: E/OC Words: around 10'000 Status: Complete Warnings: Wild mix of all the phantom-verses, mainly Kay and definitely AU A lot of OOC'ness from Raoul's and Philippe's part (even if we never see him in persona). The Persian too and Erik... Oh heck, Erik... Erik is just my version Erik. Means, he's a medley of all the Eriks/Phantoms I know in literature, films, musicals mixed with a good brush of my own dirty, insane, phantasies and memories. But, he always looks like Leroux/Kay Erik, only his eyes just reflect in the dusty light of darkness and seem to be yellow-cattish; in peaceful daylight they're from the color like of the midnight-sky, with golden sparkles, like falling stardust...
