When the Moon Cracked

"I was trapped under the surface, fighting to swim up...up...up. But some force, far stronger than me, was holding me down. My lungs were burning. My head was pounding. Darkness covered my eyes. I started screaming underwater, my last gulps of oxygen leaving my body, just like my hope of survival. And then, an explosion of white light hit me. I thought I was dying. Isn't this the logic turn of events?

But I didn't die that night.

I became something far worse than oblivion.

Something that could outrun death for eternity".
