This is from a girl with far too many words to say, in the hope that it will cheer you up during those rainy days. 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐓 - 'It's consuming me. I'm sorry. I'll miss all of you, and I'll miss the occasional happy peaceful mornings when I did not know Truth. I'll miss the solace of lonely nights and weekends spent adoring sunflowers and blooming petals. I'll miss all of that, but it's alright. You'd be happier, I reckon - and that's all that matters.'

In the end, all what's left is a faint memory backed by the emotions of wanting that one person back in our life.. Memories are rather dishonest, as you won't remember the things that are important but the things that hurt you the most. The same kind of thing is happening to our protagonist, who got stacked between memories and lies when his long forgotten childhood friend messages him before his graduation. So his sweet girlfriend did as those who weren't stars always did. She bandaged up her heart as best as possible, offered a wry smile, and gave him up. Because he didn't love the girlfriend. He loved the new girl. And the new girl had the makings of a star. And stars, it seems, always get the happy ending.
