Nico di Angelo never expected her. She seemed, at the moment, another demigod that was rescued. She would soon blend in at camp with the others, be another camper with no significance to him. She would forget about him, and he, her — or so he thought.
An unlikely friendship forms — and possibly something more — if they two could get past the embarrassment and awkwardness. Too soon, problems arise, and she is cursed with an incurable disease that's slowly turning her hair and eyes silver. As her end begins to draw nearer and nearer, he realizes that there's nothing he won't do, to sacrifice, to save those silver eyes.
