It started small.

Something simple. Something not meant to be taken too seriously.
Just a way to stay close without having to name what they were doing.

Will already knew what it was.
Mike couldn't afford to acknowledge it.

And for a while, it was enough.

It was easy. Contained. Even fun.

Until it wasn't.

Until it became too much, too close, too real to ignore.

And Mike made the only choice that could save Will from him - even if it meant hurting them both.
