When eight-year-old Evelyn Cross watched demons murder her parents, her mother gave her one final gift-a silver cross and one desperate command: hide.

Moments later, hunter John Winchester made a promise to a dying friend.

He would protect her.

Raised alongside Sam and Dean Winchester, Evelyn grew up learning to hunt the monsters hiding in the dark. Sam never understood why John treated her differently, creating a distance between them that only widened with time. Dean, on the other hand, became her constant-her partner on every hunt, the one person who always knew when something was wrong. He's the only one who calls her Evie.

But monsters aren't the only thing hunting her.

For as long as she can remember, Evie has heard voices no one else can hear. When her emotions spiral, strange episodes leave rooms shaking, lights shattering, and powers she can't control breaking free. No hunter, no lore book, and no demon can explain what's happening to her.

As Sam and Dean are pulled back into the hunt that changes everything, Evie finds herself chasing a mystery that is far more personal than any monster they've ever faced.

Because something ancient has been calling to her her entire life.

And it's getting louder.

As old secrets come to light and Heaven and Hell begin to take notice, Evie must uncover the truth about who-and what-she really is before the power growing inside her destroys everything she's fought to protect.
