Skateboarding is now an Olympic sport. University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) has become the first University to offer sports scholarships to riders.
The ice hockey team are angry. The exterior of the hockey arena has been redesigned. The new skateboard arena right next door with a new shared space for the spectators entrance and concession stands for both arenas.
Even the equipment and merchandise store has been invaded by boards and skate wear.
To add insult to injury they have to share their gymnasium and fitness centre with the Skateboarders too.
Hayden Marks, at twenty one is a rising star of US ice hockey. He has represented the USA on under-18 and under-21 squads and has his eyes firmly on the prize of the NHL and the senior USA team.

Jonas meets Sam's cousin Jax, and is instantly smitten with the talented spray painter.
The resulting proximity to Sam, leaves Hayden questioning everything he thought he knew or wanted.
