Serena stopped her advance, throwing Hades a deeply annoyed, venomous glare as her silver static flared defensively. "Are you kidding me right now? I am in the middle of a literal war, and you want me to balance your ledger? Hades, I'm off the clock!"
"The deficit doesn't care about your schedule," Hades replied smoothly.
At that exact microsecond, three elite Deity Hunters dropped from the ceiling, successfully launching a heavy, anti-primordial runic net straight over her shoulders. The dark chains instantly sizzled against her skin, trying to force her to her knees with an ancient binding decree.
Serena effortlessly caught the soul canister in her left hand, completely unbothered by the crushing gravity of the net. She looked through the glowing purple mesh, completely deadpan, and looked back at Hades.
"See?"
"I'm a little busy here!"
"Fine," Serena snapped, giving him a deeply irritated look. "Who do you want first? You know, you're kind of messing up my whole 'monster caught in a net' vibe."
Hades let out a bored huff, crossing his arms over his sharp suit. "Are you going to play in the net all day or actually get some work done?"
While Serena flexed her shoulders, letting her silver static flare just enough to melt the runic ropes into a puddle of useless slag, Hades casually looked over the panicked crowd of rebels. The Slack demon was currently trying to squeeze his multiple chins behind a cracked pillar, sweating profusely.
"Get me the big one first."
Serena stepped out of the smoking ruins of the net, weighing the heavy iron canister in her hand.
