A man is reincarnated as a aspect of Malla, the Divine Filament, an ancient extraterrestrial hive-mind that crash-landed on Earth over sixty-four million years ago.

The impact shattered Malla's collective consciousness, scattering it into countless smaller colonies that spread across the planet. For millions of years, these colonies existed as little more than instinctive fragments, carrying out their purpose without thought, identity, or self-awareness.

Then, one of them changed.

Finding its way into the body of Baldur, the beloved Norse god and child of both the Aesir and Vanir, a single colony awakens with the memories of a human soul and an identity of its own.
