Synopsis

In the turbulent years of 1960s China, Li Lan is a brilliant and ambitious woman determined to escape poverty. Born in a humble village, she dreams of becoming wealthy and respected. To achieve success, she abandons the people who love her most-her devoted husband, her aging parents, and her young daughter.

Through decades of relentless ambition, she gains wealth, status, and influence. Yet as the years pass, her family slowly disappears from her life. Her husband dies alone. Her daughter grows to hate her. Her parents leave the world without seeing her one last time.

At seventy years old, sitting alone in a luxurious mansion, Li Lan realizes that everything she fought for has become meaningless.

Then fate grants her a second chance.

After a mysterious accident, she awakens in the spring of 1962, thirty years younger and standing once again in her village.

This time, she vows to protect her family while building a prosperous future. Armed with knowledge of the future, she must navigate China's changing decades, political movements, economic reforms, and social transformations.
