In the year 2147, the shinobi are corporate property.

Konoha Corp owns the city from the neon-lit arcologies above to the flooded undercity below. Their operatives-augmented soldiers with chakra implants and digital jutsu-enforce order, steal secrets, and eliminate threats. They are tools. Assets. Weapons with expiration dates.
