This "System" granted humanity a fighting chance: otherworldly gifts and powers that defied the laws of nature. While Frank's gift wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, it did give him power. Power enough to hopefully keep his daughter safe, and punish the monsters that dared threaten her in the first place!

The sky was a flat, depressing grey and the incessant, soaking rain left her constantly chilled. It was a typical "liquid sunshine" day in the Pacific Northwest. They drove past a single tall scraggly tree on top of a hill shrouded in mist. The creepy tree was full of screaming crows. How could she hear them from inside the bus when she couldn't even seem to hear the voices of the kids around her? Geez, that was an awfully freaking dark image. She shivered and looked away. What did they call a group of crows again? Right, a murder of crows. Perfect. The weather was certainly the only thing that was typical these days, although you'd never know it by looking around the bus at most of the kids as they sat joking and gossiping with each other just like they had before... before that day everything had changed. Finding My Luna (Sequel to ICBTAM)
Today was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life. The day when I say 'I do' and join myself to my mate for the rest of our lives. However that's drowned out by what's still missing. Myself. I stare at my reflection in the mirror and it's almost like I can see the part of me that's missing. Rafe has claimed that he doesn't care that I can't reach my wolf, that it's a problem that we will solve, that everything will be alright. He can't help me with this though. The Moon Goddess told me it was up to me and me alone, she's given me clues, only I still have no idea what to do. I feel like my soul has been lost along with my wolf, and even though Rafe smiles and kisses me and tells me it's alright, I can't help but think that he's somehow disappointed in me. Disappointed that I can't be what he needs. He needs a Luna, and right now, that's not who I am. And I'm worried that the pack sees that too. I won't give up hope though. I won't stop trying until I've found Kali, until I've found my Luna. ******************** The dust has settled following Rafe and Katarina's recovery. However, neither one of them have been able to relax. Rafe is still on edge about Nolan and the other rogues still running free, and Katarina is consumed with the dread of her missing wolf. She's scared of the unknown and at the moment, the unknown surrounds her. Her child, her wolf, what she and her mate are. All of it is new to her and none of it is normal. Whatever that's supposed to be. Katarina has decided that she won't rest until she finds her wolf again. She will search for her no matter the cost, but when that cost could be her child or mate, will she truly do whatever it takes? Maybe the Moon Goddess has a twisted sense in fate. "I did try to ask nicely and multiple times, I might add. The time for being nice has come to an end since it doesn't seem to work with you." He passed by the table and stepped down. There weren't many places for her to hide in here but the creature did tell him Amelia came into this room. "Please come out and talk to me." He waited a beat for a response but he didn't get one. "Fine, let me tell you a story. I used to be able to see the creatures clearly but an accident happened when I was younger that damaged one of my eyes. Now they're just blurry to me. But you . . . you can see them clearly and see rare objects. I want you to join me. Be my eyes." He waited again for a few moments for a response he still didn't receive. A thought occurred to him. What if she was hoping that he'd just leave the room? He chuckled quietly to himself in amusement. "I'm not going anywhere. But you know what? It's fine if you decline my offer again. Just know that if you don't come with me, you could come home to find that your parents are dead because of a work accident or some other natural cause. You wouldn't want that would you?" He paused just one more time and began speaking again. "If you come with me today, your parents won't have to die. I can keep them safe. If you don't give me an answer, I'll have my creature kill your parents now and I'll still take you. Do you want dead parents or living parents? It's your choice." Amelia came out of the bay window seat compartment. She was trying to hide her fear and anger. She didn't care what happened to her but she didn't want her parents to die because of her. She took a deep breath. "Fine . . . I'll come with you." He smiled smugly, "Smart choice. There's no need to be afraid of me. Your parents are safe now and I won't hurt you." "It's because you need me for my abilities." She said more of a fact than a question. She knew he wouldn't kill her because he needed her. "Correct. I Should've Died
"Here today lies Karina Moon, daughter of Alpha of Blood Moon pack. She was beaten to the breaking point of insanity and after 2 years of search her scent was gone, as now she is declared dead." The priest chirped his words despair in the air and I listened to it from the height to the cliffs. The air was rigid and frost clung onto my skin as people thought I out of everyone was dead. I escaped the beatings after my father had gone insane, but war is leaking out because of me the biggest mistake alive. The reason is I can see parts or snippets of the future not to mention I have yet to shift nor can I ever hear my wolf again. The guilt has sunk into my heart and I have dug myself a grave for being as young as 15. Let's see how war takes it turn on me will it kill me too, or will I continue to roam this world, alone, scared, and the biggest mistake alive.
