Katherine Smith lives in Cedar Oaks, California which has so little violence you could leave your door unlocked at night, with no worries. When Katherine walks home late at night from her friends house, she meets a new comer to her town, Alex Trevors, her new history teacher, a handsome guy with dark secrets. Alex soon becomes obsessed with Katherine and watches her day and night. Alex and unaware Katherine become friends, nothing romantic. But one night when Katherine and her friends come back from a school carnival, Alex kidnaps her. He takes her to Los Angeles where he stores her in his cellar and tortures her. His incapability of loving is shattered, and this is the only form he knows.
