Carmen Sandiego - for some she's a thief, for others she's a hero. But the truth is that this woman is both.

Carmen Sandiego steals from V.I.L.E., a secret league that steal important historical and cultural artifacts from museums, private collections, castles or just from bancs. Carmen is their former student but also the former daughter of the Faculty. Raised on the secret V.I.L.E. island, the academy for professional thieves and their professors is the only thing she knew. Or at least until recently.
After accidentally seeing what exactly her classmates and the leaders of V.I.L.E. do and are ready to do, she escapes and starts a new life on which she thought she had complete control over.

Graham Calloway inscribed for the V.I.L.E. academy in search for something more. But he never imagined that this 'something more' would be a young girl known as Black Sheep. What begins as an unlikely friendship between two students slowly grows into something neither of them expected, even as the paths laid out before them threaten to pull them apart.

As Carmen builds a reputation as the elusive thief who always stays one step ahead, Graham finds himself caught between loyalty to the organization that gave him a future and the girl who taught him to question it. Across continents, heists, betrayals, and years of separation, both will be forced to decide who they truly are and what they are willing to sacrifice for the people they care about.
