Sophie Park seems to have everything under control. A Korean American real estate agent living in San Diego, California, she is ambitious, independent, and determined to build her own business empire. After investing everything into a business venture that repeatedly fails before it can even begin, Sophie loses nearly everything she worked for. Feeling defeated and hopeless, she drowns her sorrows in alcohol during a lonely karaoke bar night.

Andrew Kim, a talented Korean American doctor, is celebrating a major career achievement with his coworkers. Known for his dedication, kindness, and relentless work ethic, Andrew rarely allows himself to relax. For one night, he decides to enjoy his success.

Too drunk to think clearly, Andrew accidentally enters the wrong room. There he finds a beautiful woman sleeping peacefully on the bed. Assuming his coworkers arranged an escort as a joke to celebrate his success, he tries to leave. But Sophie, half-asleep and intoxicated, mistakes him for someone else.
