Kamaria is a young woman due to be married living with her family in a simple African village with a simple life. It is when white men from the North arrive, seemingly determined to tear her family apart, that her life begins to fray at the edges. As her treasured ones are ripped out of her life, she befriends one of the men who took her from her village in the first place. When she finds herself falling for him, and everything she's ever loved begins to disappear altogether, Kamaria realises that to liberate her people, it might cost her and her loved ones' lives...

Set in the 1800's, colonial America, this is the story of Mercy Peters, an African American slave woman who gets sold throughout the south and ends up meeting a white man---that ends up changing her life. This story will be more raw than my other stories because I feel so strongly about slavery , and the life of a woman during that time. Enjoy. Might me inappropriate for younger viewers. Guys, I hope the way the story is written does not offend anybody. I only based the way she speaks on excerpts I read in my AP U.S history class. It gets better later on in the story. Again, I have no rude intentions in this story. I am a black person myself and although I am not African-American, I can relate.
