The Sole of Discretion

Lost in time, on a grossly primitive and technologically, socially and emotionally backward planet, with only a damaged ship and the stoat-like creature, Briyun, for company, Demi Quaver-Tempura longs for the day when she can return to her own time. When, somehow, her former captain, the chaotic, narcissistic, borderline insane, Friss Packlightly, finds her, it leads to a desperate race across the galaxy. Facing death at every turn, not surviving nearly as often as she'd like, Demi searches for answers, tries to keep Friss from killing too many people, including herself, and deal with Friss' homicidal grandma.
