The Last Beautiful Place

They told Nova Vale that Eden was the last safe city on Earth.

Behind its white walls, there is no hunger, no war, and no reason to question the rules. Every citizen has a purpose. Every child has a future. Every family is protected.

Each year, Eden holds the Renewal, a ceremony where teenagers are assigned their place in society. Some become guards. Some become healers. Some become workers. And some are quietly marked as **Unfit** - and never seen again.

Three years ago, Nova's older sister disappeared after the Renewal.

Now, when Nova's younger brother is chosen for review, she knows she cannot stay silent anymore. The city that raised her is hiding something, and the people in power will do anything to keep the truth buried.

With the help of a rule-breaking boy who knows more about Eden than he should, Nova begins to uncover the secret behind the walls: the outside world may not be dead after all.

And Eden may not be a sanctuary.

It may be a cage.
