Rio is a lonely guy with a heart too big for his own good. He writes everything he feels into his lyrics and his letters, but despite being surrounded by friends, he can't find anyone who takes the time to truly read them. That is, until he catches sight of a Catholic ginger boy named Edward. Rio has a terrible track record when it comes to romance, but he can't seem to keep his eyes off Edward, and every attempt to act normal somehow ends in disaster. Unfortunately for Rio, the redhead seems to notice.

Edward is a burnt-out swimmer who has spent his entire life becoming exactly what everyone expects of him. He's talented, disciplined, and the swimmer everyone wants him to become-but he's tired. All he wants is one summer to be free, but things get a lot more complicated once he starts noticing Rio at every swim meet. Raised with traditional Catholic parents, Edward has always believed there are things he should never want. But the closer he gets to Rio, the harder it becomes to ignore the feelings that he doesn't understand.

How will Edward deal with these new feelings? Can his love and faith co-exist? And will Rio be able to keep his cool, or will he fall even further into the deep end for Edward?
