This story follows a young girl named, Maria Windsor. Maria and her family uproot their way to Salem, in a desire for her father to take a professional position in Willamette University as an English professor.
While the family moves in early summer of 1973, the family would soon grasp the gravity this house burdens for the newly established owners.
Leading to less than the Windsor's new start, and more to an old ending.
While this is perceived by all of the Windsor's perspectives (but mostly Maria's) there are a few exceptions to that narrative in select chapters ;)

Ryosuke Yamamoto was falsely accused of assaulting a woman and has lost everyone dear to him. His older sister Kaede and younger sister Nagisa completely rejected him, and his father gave up on him.
