With her family's past remaining a mystery to her, Delilah only has spending the summer with her best friend, Kiki, and the fact that she would be graduating from the prison known as school, to look forward to. She has had a twisted life, a boyfriend that has disappeared, and has no more family to hang on to, but when one bad thing leads to another, the wall she's built around herself starts to crumble, or more like, slowy torn apart by the Shadowhunters as they help try to uncover her family's secrets. Soon, Delilah knows enough to put the puzzle together and figures out that she is one of the Nephilim. Although everything may seem like it's falling apart, there may be a light at the end of this tunnel. She just doesn't know if it's the light of an angel, or if it's the fire burning in a demon's eyes. Delilah must not just be determined to get through this, she must be fearless, because if the angel on your shoulder isn't there, you're going to have to deal with the devil.
