That text was supposed to fix everything.

Justice had won. The bad guys lost. Therapy bills were probably still expensive, but technically... they won.

So naturally, Pip and Ravi were supposed to run into each other's arms, cry dramatically, confess they'd been miserable for 697 days, kiss in the rain for cinematic effect, and live happily ever after.

Instead they stood there like two coworkers who accidentally bumped into each other at Tesco.

"So... how've you been?"

"Good."

"Cool."

Fantastic. Brilliant. Love that for them.

Turns out surviving kidnappings, murder investigations, and near-death experiences was somehow easier than having a normal conversation.

Who would've guessed?

Now every interaction feels like they're trapped in an endless loop of awkward smiles, overthinking every sentence, and wondering if saying "you look nice" is flirting or just basic human decency.
