When Sonic is ambushed by Shadow and Shady in Green Hill, what starts as a fight to prove who the superior hedgehog is quickly turns into an all-out battle across portals, oceans, snowstorms, and different locations.
After Shadow and Shady steal Sonic's special movie rings, Sonic is left trapped and forced to call Sonica for help. With Tails creating new ring gadgets and backup rings, Sonic and Sonica return to face Shadow and Shady again. But Shadow and Shady are not just using the rings for battle. They plan to collect Chaos Emeralds from different universes and become unstoppable.
