Niharika Kashyap is a twenty-three-year-old lifestyle writer at The Urban Muse magazine. She is quiet, loves old bookstores, and writes beautifully. But because of her critical family, she has zero confidence. She keeps her best stories locked away in a secret folder, always choosing to sit in the background of life.

Then comes Armaan Roy.

At twenty-eight, Armaan is a warm, hardworking filmmaker trying to finish his independent documentary, The Midnight Breadwinners. He is also the only caregiver for his sharp-tongued, lovable grandmother. His life is exhausted and messy, and he believes he has no time for romance.

When Niharika is assigned to follow Armaan's film projects for a whole year, their worlds collide. What starts as awkward work meetings slowly turns into late-night car rides, shared rainstorms, and a deep friendship. Armaan becomes the first person to truly listen to Niharika's voice, while Niharika becomes the safe harbor Armaan desperately needs.
