CONUNDRUM: to the World Beyond

ONGOING | Whenever she looks into the mirror, all Reign Hiraya Blanchefort can see are broken fragments.

She dreaded being self-aware that she's a floater-someone who talks to people and befriends them, but never truly finds a sense of belonging. Born in a house of cold solitude, Reign mastered the art of disappearing to survive. She perfected the dance of dissociation, keeping people at arm's length, while yearning for their warmth all the same. Until eventually, she lost her own rhythm, learning instead to dance to the tune of her surroundings.

Yet, deep down, she knew no amount of independence or people-pleasing could drown the constant tick, tick, tick of a time bomb-the fragile state of her family's psyche, and her own.

Kaya nang batiin siya ng isang nakangising estranghero malapit sa kanilang bahay, iisa lang ang naging konklusyon niya: tuluyan na nga siyang nasiraan ng bait. Dahil sa muli nilang pagkikita, tuluyan siyang hinila ng estranghero sa isang mahiwagang dimensyon-isang lugar na kung tawagin nito ay "the world beyond."

Doon napaisip si Reign: isa na naman ba itong palaisipan na kaya niyang lutasin? O tuluyan na ba siyang nawala sa sarili at nilalaro na lang ng kaniyang utak?
