In the kingdom of the Summerlands where most of the people were defined by their Sun-blessed looks, Lunaerys always felt like an intruder in her own family, for she was blessed by the Moon. Growing up, she felt like she couldn't find her place in the world so she knew she had to make it herself. If not by marriage into the royal family as her elder sister, but by learning the arts of swordplay from her brothers.

But the road to becoming a knight would not be as easy as she wanted. She finds herself competing in a tournament to save her from an unwanted fate, as her path was burdened by an unyielding affection for her first love, a bond that complicates her every move as she tries to find her footing.

Standing directly in her way are the obstacles set by Prince Aelius, who refuses to let her rise. Surrounded by a court of vipers, hidden betrayals, and a hostile army of knights who view her as a usurper, Lunaerys must prove her worth and learn to survive among people who try to bring her down.
