Tánis is a citizen of the Canine Dimension-a beautiful, futuristic universe with glowing cyan earth and deep space-blue skies. He is fully bipedal, walks with his hands curled politely at his chest, and has never seen a human in his life. Humans are just a myth told to scare puppies.

But when Tánis accidentally touches a crackling cosmic spark, he shatters an ancient seal and tumbles straight into a dark, rainy alleyway on Earth.

Permanently stuck in his true form, Tánis has to survive a hairless ape world that wants to dissect him. He's got vibrant red fur, glowing lime green slit eyes, sharp black claws on his eight white-palmed fingers, and one incredibly stubborn floppy ear. Oh, and if you touch his giant, fluffy tail? He will paralyze you-or dissolve into a fit of embarrassing fox giggles.

When clueless human teenager Leo mistakes him for an elite, high-tech cosplayer, Tánis scores a ticket out of the rain and into an apartment. Now, he just has to learn a bizarre language called 'English,' avoid the government, and hide the fact that whenever he panics, he drops to all fours and runs faster than a sports car.

Earth has terrible weather and weird architecture, but they do have cheese chips. And for Tánis, that might just be worth fighting for.
