Touch Me Not, Please

I tell people that Maths is red, Japan is yellow, and my school shoes taste like detergent.
Either they look at me as if I'm talking about rocket science (which isn't even that difficult), or as if they've just discovered a peculiar alien.

Anyway.

I got away from the detergent-tasting shoes when I got into IISER-the only place where my brain actually gets some exercise and, hopefully, where I'll find people like me.
But something I haven't been able to get away from is clingy people.
The uninvited touches. Playful swats. Casual arms thrown around my shoulders.

A single touch is enough to make my world fade into black.
But how do I explain that?
And even if I could... who would care?

Can you believe it?

I honestly thought I was dreaming until my mother peppered my face with kisses and my sister engulfed me in a hug so tight I nearly escaped death.

Still, I can't deny it.

Hugs are the best.

They heal you in a way nothing else can.

Physical touch is my love language.

Now, hopping and bouncing with excitement, I've finally reached IISER.
Let's see what the future has in store for me.

I'm hoping for new opportunities...

But I definitely wouldn't mind finding a sweet love story along the way.
