Midnight Sun

After nearly a year at war, twenty-eight year old knight Elric returns home expecting some much needed peace. Instead, he finds his city plagued by mutilated bodies and missing townsfolk... things that should exist only in the old stories he once loved to read.

Then, the sun stops setting.

While everyone else sees the endless daylight as a blessing from the sun god Phoenor for their recent victory, Elric soon discovers the truth: something in the darkness has frightened even the gods. When a violent storm grants a starving horde of vampires the shadows they need to attack, Elric is bitten while protecting his family and becomes the very monster he'd been fighting to destroy.

Hunted by his fellow knights, Elric must flee the kingdom to save his siblings, imprisoned on false treason. But the path to saving them draws him into a much greater conflict, one involving warring gods, a beautiful but relentless warrior named Astraea, and a prophecy that places salvation in one of his hands... and damnation in the other.
