At nineteen years old, Rafe Cameron has just learned what it truly means to lose everything. Kicked out of the house by his father, penniless and with nowhere to go, he finds himself knocking on Barry's door-the absolute last person he ever wanted to ask for help. But the real surprise is waiting for him just beyond that threshold.
After spending two years in a care facility following the tragic loss of her parents, Elisabeth, Barry's younger sister, has also returned home. Back in their days at Kildare Academy, Elisabeth was the only girl who couldn't care less about Rafe's name or his money. As a close friend of Sarah's who often visited the Cameron estate, she was the only one who could see right through his arrogant prince persona, even managing to bring out a rare side of genuine kindness in him.
Now, two years later, all three of them find themselves under the same roof in the Cut. Forced to navigate a tense living situation, buried memories, and unconfessed secrets, Rafe and Elisabeth will have to face who they have become and the undeniable bond that the past left between them.
