I've hidden so many secrets over the last year and six month, which led me to near total isolation from everyone. The nightmares plague me. The screams of that night taunt my sanity toward insanity. Every time I close my eyes, I see it all played out like I was still sitting in that puddle again.
I broke my knee and partially tore my ACL that night, and now, on top of it all, I had to figure out how to kiss my ballet/dancing career goodbye.
I couldn't finish my last semester at Juliard.
My boyfriend of ten whole minutes flat lined on me.
Died... on me.
I could still feel the way his chest wasn't all right when I was giving compressions. It was broke, and he had no heart beat. The love of my life, quite literally, died in front of my eyes.
I killed him, but it was by lucky that he was able to be revived. The doctors saved him, because I took him from this plane of existence. He actually died on me.
It's been a year and a half now, and I'm working too many shifts as a nurse. I've made wreck of my entire life, but my work life was the only stability I had.
Until the Lunas come knocking.
