Kameron Zion Lewis thought transferring schools was supposed to be a fresh start. New campus. New faces. No drama.

Yeah... that shit lasted all of five minutes.

The second she crosses paths with Malachi "Mal" Brooks-Williams, everything goes left. Mal is the loudest stud in the damn school, always got a blunt tucked somewhere, a drink in her hand after school, and enough confidence to make anybody sick. She swears everybody wants her, talks the most shit, and always has the last damn word.

Kameron can't stand her cocky ass.

Mal thinks Kameron's attitude is funny as hell.

Every hallway turns into an argument. Every class becomes a competition. Their friends are tired of breaking up almost-fights. Teachers already know their names for all the wrong reasons.

They talk shit. They bump shoulders on purpose. They dare each other. They push every damn button they can find.

But somewhere between all the arguing, smart-ass comments, jealousy they refuse to admit, and late-night run-ins, that hate starts looking a little too much like something else.

Now they're stuck wondering how the fuck you go from wanting to swing on somebody... to wanting to kiss them or fuck them.

Sometimes the person you hate the most is the same person you can't stay the hell away from.
