Elio, Selene, and the Ultra Recon Squad have failed. Necrozma has used its unbridled power of light and turned the sun into its own weapon of revenge and devastation. It now watches the world burn from the sky, as it flies before the sun.

Although life gone on as normal underground thanks to the Aether Foundation, a group of trainers, both regular and anomalous, decide to go on a suicide mission to take down Necrozma.
