Silence;
1. A situation, state, or period of time in
which people do not talk
2. A situation or state in
which someone does not talk about
or answer questions about something.

"Do you think you can hear it?" He asked the boy in a quiet voice, as if he would spook him if he spoke in the wrong tone.

"That's impossible?" The other boy wrote down on the little dry-erase board he was given as a present.

"Then there's no reason to be. Talk." He finally demanded, sticking the cigarette back in between his lips.
