I never meant to become part of Rafe Cameron's world.
It started with one night, one wrong turn, and suddenly I saw something I was never supposed to survive witnessing-something buried in blood and silence, something that should've stayed hidden forever.
Rafe gave me a choice, though it never really felt like one. Disappear... or stay close enough to become part of the cover-up.
At first, it was just survival. That's what I told myself. But survival slowly turned into something heavier, something more dangerous. Late-night calls I shouldn't have answered. Money I shouldn't have taken. Evidence I shouldn't have touched. A growing list of things I can't undo no matter how much I want to.
The longer I stay in his orbit, the harder it becomes to tell what I am to him. If I'm being used... or if I'm turning into something just as complicit as he is.
